Paloma made this dress at kindergarten. The teachers bought in a sewing machine, and a hot glue gun, and stapler. Fabric and bits and bobs were found and donated and who ever wanted to, designed and made outfits. I have been dragging kids to kindergartens for about ten years (straight up), and this was by far the most mind blowing project...in a good way. At the end of the week, the kids had a 'crazy dress day'. The kids who had designed the clothes wore them and a runway was made, little chairs lined either side. Us parents squeezed our butts into the front row, ('A' listers for an hour...move over Anna Wintour..) with our camera's ready. The music started and they came out shyly in groups of three and four, holding a teachers hand. The kids worked the runway like stars...cos they are.
Anyhoo, it was fun and Paloma got a big kick out of it as did I.
